Prague, 10 August 2023 – CzechToll of the PPF group received from the Slovak National Motorway Company the result of the evaluation of bids and the acceptance of bids in public tenders for “Building an Electronic Toll System and Providing Technical Support Services” and for “Toll Services”.
In the case of the first tender, CzechToll succeeded thanks to the lowest bid price, but also with the best setting of quality parameters of all three participants. CzechToll offered the delivery of the key information system and five years of technological support at a price of 13.8 million Euros excluding VAT.
“In the tender, we submitted a bid based on the same technical solution that we successfully implemented together with our Slovak partner SkyToll in the Czech Republic in 2019. As a result of a proper design the system in the Czech Republic today is one of the most efficient toll collection systems in the world,” said Matej Okáli, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ITIS Holding, which is a 100% owner of both CzechToll and SkyToll.
CzechToll also submitted the lower bid of the two bidders in the case of the public tender for toll services. At a cost of 28.7 mil. Euros excluding VAT, CzechToll will supply, among other things, OBUs, provide for the necessary logistics and distribution of OBUs to carriers, supply the infrastructure for payments and the operation of customer service points.
